Too soon, too young
The pages were torn halfway
even the words left, were swept away,
by the wind or drowned
in the silent sobs at night on bed
These days the ropes seemed tighter
the strings were pulled harder
Staring eyes drilled holes
everyone's hopes buried in souls
there was so much that went unheard
everyone claimed to know and cared
about life, the celluloid
about the privileges, one enjoyed
The crowns seemed heavier
and the gown seemed gloomier
even before we learnt to fly
off the cliff, we were pushed by
those who knew whats best
for us, or was it all for jest
