Seasons of war
It was as sunny as summer
Peace,warmth and love
Of no evil or crime a murmur
a perfect gift from above
The land enjoyed and thrived
in the eyes of all
Righteous and Justified
their deeds stood tall
Even in times of sorrow
when life played its last card
broken yet brave, they faced morrow
for each, it surely was hard
The land grew older
winds of change blew across
bonds grew weaker
a turn of pitch and toss
Evil disguised, raged in
severing what took
several years to entwine
by lies so easy to cook
It was as chilly as winter
enmity, bitterness and hate
The land was barren & sinister
No ballads were heard, of late
Chaos choked their veins
Lies pierced their hearts
loyalty blinded their eyes
hatred wounded their men
As it was for every war
pain surpassed the gain
raising the bar
of ever being united, a wish in vain
Discord within the borders ruined it
Distrust amongst soldierhood
Dislike merely was the root
Disabled the brotherhood
Good Ol’ days they longed for more
deep down goodness still resided
Clouds of lies and hate, the sun tore
apart, with hope the land flooded
It would be as colourful as autumn
Peace, love and fondness
would reign in years to come
aided by the power of forgiveness.
