Maybe it was your first stage performance
Or your first job as a volunteer in the cafeteria,
Those pointing fingers, were unnecessary

Maybe it was your first serious relationship
Or your marriage that lasted just a year,
Those hushed rumors, were underserved

Maybe it was a new place you just moved to
Or your first regiment as a soldier,
Those questioning voices, were ill-timed

Such instances, there are several
In our own lives and in other's
Unexpected and even cruel,
Neither are we prepared, nor are others.

Observe, Empathize if you can,
Else take your time to react.
Everyone's fighting the best they can
To be less judgemental, let's make a pact!

Spread love and hope
Encourage one another!
With daily struggles, help cope
your neighbour, your brother.
